ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is a care provider based in Milton Keynes, and they currently have an exciting immediate opportunity for the position of Care Workers. This service provides a caring, stable and nurturing home, in an informal atmosphere, catering for the needs of young people from 11 to 17 years of age on admittance. In consultation with local authorities, our client specialises in both Supported Living and Housing & Individual Support; providing care, support and assistance to people with complex care needs and mental health challenges aiming to help them live a better and independent life both at homes and in their local communities.

Key Responsibilities
The post holder will:
- Attend care review meetings, and assessments on a regular basis to know how the service is delivered and to advise on any necessary adjustments.
- Develop and coordinate service users care programs and monitor service users care for progress.
- Ensure all services users and care workers documentation and electronic records are always kept up at date.
- Communicate between fellow staffs, clients, clients. family. Clients GP/ Doctors, Clients next of Kin
- Monitor, supervise and mentor all Cares and take the lead in training carers on how to implement changes made to service users care plan.
- carry out spot checks and support in carers skill gap analysis to identify any training needs of care staff and report accordingly.
- Provide cover and deliver care as required when visits cannot be assigned and during on-call hours.
- Negotiate with Carers regarding their Rotas and working hours and communicating effectively with them regarding any changes.
- Take the lead in responding to Service users’ complaints whilst taking charge of the first stage of investigation regarding safeguarding and complaints ensuring service users are handled on a case-to-case basis.
- Maintain service user’s confidentiality and quality care.
- Manage and complete Quality Improvement Forms as and at when required.
- Take the lead in implementing quality control procedures and processes to ensure the required level of compliance are achieved.
- Ensure that files including evaluations and supervision sheets are well documented.
- Ensure adequate supply of protective equipment to carers.
- Provide files for new service users and ensure that service user agreement has been provided and signed and a copy returned to the office for proper documentation.
- Treat all staff equally, fairly and respectfully irrespective of their role.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed according to the needs of the Service or as identified by the Registered manger or the Director
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience working within a care setting is desired
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Domiciliary care setting is preferred.
- Experience working as a Senior carer.
- CPD certificates for continuous learning
- And other educational certificate (if need be) management studies, etc
- Compassionate, caring and respectful.
- Ability to read and implement care plans.
- A team player.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Presentable with good personality.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Willing and motivated to learn to develop self.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experienced in working within a framework of safeguarding.
- Excellent working knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion.
Qualification
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care / or working towards one / a willingness to gain such qualifications later is desired.
- A caregiving certificate that covers the 15-care standards or a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate (CNA) is essential
- Any other relevant Health Care Certificate will be an added advantage
- Must have full right to work in the UK.
- Valid DBS Certificate
- Driving License with own car.
- IELTS UKVI test result with a minimum score of 4 in all categories/ or NARIC.
- A valid police clearance from the countries you’ve resided within the last 10 years.
- Must be able in work in Shifts of 12 hours/ 8 hours/ Day shift /Night shift /Overnight shift
- Driving Licence holders preferred but transport is available (at a fee of £20 per day).
Personal Attributes
· Must have full right to work in the UK
· A full UK Driving License with own car is preferred
· Must be physically fit (Physical strength)
